Three steps

From PDF to import-ready file in about a minute

  1. 1

    Upload your statement

Drop one or more PDFs, scans or phone photos. Text PDFs are read directly; scans go through vision OCR.

  2. 2

    Review the reconciled table

We rebuild every transaction and prove it against the opening and closing balance. Anything that doesn't add up is highlighted.

  3. 3

    Export to your software

Download Excel, CSV, QBO, OFX, QIF, or a QuickBooks- or Xero-ready CSV and import it in minutes.

Features

Everything between the PDF and your ledger

Why teams switch

The difference shows up at month-end

It tells you when the numbers are wrong

Generic PDF-to-Excel tools hand you a spreadsheet and hope. We show the reconciliation difference before you export, down to the row that broke the running balance.

No templates, no per-bank setup

Statements are read by layout and meaning, so a new bank, a redesigned statement or a scanned photo works on the first upload.

Files your software actually accepts

QBO files carry the Intuit bank ID QuickBooks Desktop needs, Xero CSVs use Xero's column names and OFX validates against the 2.2 schema.

Frequently asked questions

What is a bank statement converter?

A bank statement converter reads the transactions on a PDF or scanned bank statement — date, description, amount and balance — and writes them into a structured file such as Excel, CSV, QBO or OFX so they can be analysed or imported into accounting software.

How accurate is the conversion?

Accuracy is checked, not assumed: StatementPilot adds up every extracted transaction and compares the result with the opening and closing balance printed on the statement. When the totals match, the extraction is complete. When they don't, the difference and the rows that caused it are flagged for review before you export.

Can it convert scanned statements and photos?

Yes. Scanned PDFs and JPG/PNG photos are processed with vision OCR. Clear, straight scans at 200 DPI or more give the best results, and the reconciliation check tells you if anything was misread.

Which banks are supported?

Statements from any bank, credit union or card issuer work because there are no bank-specific templates. Our bank directory documents 122+ institutions with notes on their statement layouts.

Is my financial data secure?

Files are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, sent over TLS, never used to train AI models and deleted automatically at the end of your plan's retention window — or immediately when you click Delete.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan includes 20 pages a month with every export format and the reconciliation check. No credit card is required.

Can I import the result into QuickBooks or Xero?

Yes. Download a QBO file for QuickBooks Online or Desktop, a QuickBooks-formatted CSV, or a Xero CSV that matches Xero's statement import template.
